End of Semester Procedures


1. First, you should validate that your semester averaging is set up correctly.  If it is not setup correctly, the incorrect value will be displayed for the semester in the quick lookup screens.

2. Enter the Semester Exam

 

Validate Semester Average

1. Open up your grade book.  You will see a screen similar to below

2. click on the "Grade Setup" icon to display the following screen.

               

3. Make sure that the in the reporting term box the semester is highlighted like it is in the picture above.

4. You must make sure that weighting for the semester is exactly like the picture below (for high school and junior high)

                                             

The bullet for "Term weights" must be chose on all campuses.

High School and Junior High must have E1 set to a weight of 1 and W1, W2, W3 set to a weight of 2.

Elementary will have only three terms W1, W2, W3.  These three terms must all be set to the same weight.  For example, they can all be set to 1.  They could also all be set to 100, as long as they are all the same.

5. REPEAT STEPS 1 THROUGH 4 FOR ALL CLASSES!
 

 

Enter Semester Test

1. Click on the "Scoresheet" tab so that you see a screen similar to below.

2. By default, it currently comes up to reporting term of semester (S1 in the picture above).  Change this to the reporting term for the exam (E1 for first semester, E2 for second semester).

              

3. You should now see E1 in the final grade column.  Right click on the first student's grade.  This will display the option of running the score inspector.

 

4. Click on the "Show Score Inspector Button".  This displays the score inspector.

5. Click the check mark next to manual override.

6. Enter the test grade in both the Percent and the Grade fields (you must put it in both places).  Then simply click the up/down arrows to move to the next student.

7. Once you have finished entering test grades for this class, close the score inspector and save the data.
